Colette Bender is an artist based in New York, NY with a practice that primarily focuses on oil painting. She grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts and first began oil painting at twelve years old. Through her youth she was taught by Debrah Freeman-Highberger and Jack Highberger at the Acorn Gallery School of Art.
Bender received her BFA in painting and art history from Pratt Institute in May of 2024 and curated a solo exhibition as part of her thesis. She has been in as well as organized several group shows.
